As you know, we have a very diverse group that does a wide variety of trading. We do everything in the group from simply buying and selling warrants, to fairly complex hedging and arbitrage strategies.

We run through plays on a daily basis in the Discord, and I send out emails with trades I’m taking, and considering...not to mention the monthly newsletter, with more ideas, as well as trading psychology tips and tricks.

Yet, with all of these ideas and trading strategies...both from me and many, many members of the group (who, by the way, are absolute beasts when it comes to research and running down trade ideas...you guys rock!!), many of you responded with raised hands when I mentioned an additional opportunity to go even deeper in a one-on-one, or small group setting, to learn more about warrant trading, arbitrage, options, technical analysis, etc.

I learned warrant trading by literally sitting at the side of a seasoned warrant trader for many years...

So. Alex (the Wunder Canuck) Simard and I have put our heads together (into one massive bald head, haha).

And, we’ve come up with what we think is something that would be helpful to those who would like to either accelerate what they’re already doing, or come up to speed with the myriad trades we participate in.

Here’s the deal.

Alex and I are going to do a very small seminar, covering the topics below, that will only be open to Warrant Observer members.

This will be a virtual (obviously...until we get to St. Croix? The Caymans?) event where Alex and I will walk through, step by step, how we do what we do. Alex is even thinking about sharing his actual numbers...he’s now promised to take care of me in my old age!

Here are some of the things we’ll be covering in the seminar:

Trading Around Positions. Yes, as most of you know, we are constantly trading around positions. We’ll go over how we end up with more shares than we started with, at a lower cost basis, even as the stock/warrant goes down.

SPAC warrant trading. SPACs have brought “Christmas Every Day” to warrant trading. Though I say it all the time, I still don’t think people realize the genie has been let out of the bottle, and warrant trading, even if no more SPACs were able to list starting tomorrow, is here for years to come. We’ll go over the patterns you can play over, and over again

Hedged Trading. It REALLY isn’t difficult once you get the basics down, and you can make money in up markets (like we’ve been in for several years) as well as DOWN markets (maybe they don’t happen in our lifetime, but I’m not betting on it). The hedge fund I began with, around 25 years ago during the dotcom boom and bust, consistently made money both in the market run up AND in the crash. I didn’t have a losing month at the firm. (Thank you to MY guru, who was a warrant empresario!)

Arbitrage / Hedge Trading. Look...you can trade warrants and hedge, but if you have options available you can do these exact same trades in a variety of stocks. I have said it until my ears ring with it...warrant trades are now here for years to come, no matter what becomes of the SPACs that are coming out now. But, if you learn the mechanics of arbitrage, using options in particular, you’ll learn a life changing skill.

Psychology. I’m an old grizzled trader...but Alex only joined this game a little over ONE AND A HALF YEARS ago. I’ll share my “wisdom,” but Alex will share the lessons he’s learned these past 18 months, with a fresh perspective. He’s recently been there and done that. He can tell you exactly what it took to go from a J.O.B. to a trading career, which includes a lot of time at home playing board games with his kids.

The details.

Full disclosure, this is the first time we’re offering this seminar. We’ll bring our A game, but will also gather input from those who want to attend prior to the seminar to make sure we tailor the seminar to the attendees.

The seminar will take place in the afternoon, for around 2 hours per day, March 3-5. The current plan is 4 hours of “teaching” and 2 hours of Q&A over those three days. This will be followed by a second 2 hour Q&A a week later, maybe a happy hour Q&A, after the material has a week to set in, and you come up with more questions.

Attendees will receive a recording of the session following the completion of all the sessions.

Attendees will also receive copies of all material used in the seminars, including spreadsheets detailing the trades we walk through.

The cost of the seminar is $2,000 per attendee. And to keep it very manageable, and make sure we can give personalized attention and answer all questions, we are limiting the number of attendees to only 12.
